Summary: We needed to move rooms because my 90 yr old mother was unable to go up and down the 16 stairs to our room. The person at the desk commented that we made our reservation online and unsure they could find us another room. She said there was an option but it was much more expensive. I had no choice. We got to the next room and found that it only had one bed vs the two that I had originally booked. It did have a very uncomfortable hide-a-way bed. We were in the area for a funeral so had no choice but to keep our stay. The bottom of the refrigerator was filled with water which I had to clean up. Phones were out, internet problems. Light bulbs missing. Cable box missing so tv did not work in bedroom. Remote for fireplace missing. All in all, not a place that I would stay at again. Ruttger’s used to be a great place to stay on Bay Lake. No longer. It is dated, rundown, and overpriced for the accommodations.
